Education

Everyone has the right to education.

This is  recognised in Article 26 of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, and Article 14 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).

Every child and young person has the right to enjoy the opportunity to gain the skills, knowledge and experiences required to provide them with choices in the future.

Every adult has the right to continue lifelong learning should they choose to do so.

The rights of children to education is recognised in the Articles 18, 29 and 2 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Everyone has the right to education and training free from racial discrimination.

This recognised in Article 5(v) of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the UNESCO Convention against Discrimination in Education.

Make a complaint

Report back to the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (CESCR) or the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD)

Find funding to attend an international meeting to voice your concerns with the United Nations
