Treaty Body Reporting Process

 

The treaty body reporting process include:

  1. State report
  2. Pre-sessional working group

Country rapporteurs from the Committee presents a draft list of issues to other members;

The working group discusses each draft

adoption of final list of issues

List of issues made available to the State party immediately after its adoption

State party requested to provide written replies to the list of issues in advance to the session at which its report is scheduled for consideration

List and replies are made available to the public on the Website of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)

4. Committee Session

  •                Concluding observations are produced – containing recommendations regarding further implementation by the State party to the treaty.
  •                Concluding observations are made available at the end of the Committee session, and are placed on the OHCHR Web site.
  •                Concluding observations are also included in the annual report of the Committee

     5.    Follow up to concluding observations
