Melissa Saunders

Melissa Saunders is a Gungarri woman from Western QLD. She is currently living in Brisbane.

In 2004 she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with Majors in Psychology and Indigenous Studies from the University of Queensland. 

She has been a volunteer committee member for the Youth Led Futures Committee with the Foundation for Young Australians. 

She has also completed the Diplomacy Training on Human Rights and Advocacy with DTP and Oxfam at the Faculty of Law UNSW and in 2009 was lucky enough to be sponsored by Oxfam and supported by the Australian Human Rights Commission to attend the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues as an Indigenous youth delegate.
